Sherwood Forest Assessment Policy
|
Payment
The Board requests that all members remit assessments promptly and in one payment. Statements are mailed in January. Payment in full is due by February 28 of each year.
Alternate Payment Plan
To decrease the workload of our volunteers and to reduce costs, it is hoped that all members will remit all assessments by the February due date. For members not able to budget one assessment payment, there is a semi-annual payment schedule available. A $10.00 handling fee will be added to the first payment: One half of the assessment, plus $10.00 will be due by February 28 of each year. A second statement will be mailed in May, with the balance due by June 30.
Late Fees
Failure to make payment by the due date will result in a late fee of $20.00 or 2.5% of the balance, which ever is greater.
Delinquent Accounts
Accounts that remain delinquent after July 31 are subject to additional actions by the Board of Directors, such as additional fees and interest charges; classification as "member not in good standing"; filing of a lien on the property.
Amenities Fees
|
There is a reduction in this fee if the buyer is a current owner of an improved property in Sherwood Forest. Please contact SFHA Assessments Secretary to determine the total amenity fee due.
*See Documents addressing New Home Construction for additional new home construction fees.
